Restaurant Transformable

'Restaurant Transformable' is a term for artistic positions in the fields of 'Food, Art and Media'. It broaches the issue of 'Cooking as an Authentic Form of Fine and Performing Arts', and shows in this context cooking performances in an audiovisual surrounding. The core of the production is a temporary restaurant, where the artist cooks live with the audience. [2006 - 2009]

In the course of a 10 week boat journey from Krems/Austria to Ruse/Bulgaria Rainer Prohaska and his crew built a swimming sculpture. The extensions of the boat took place during the trip on the river Danube. All used materials and objects where found, bought or exchanged in the regions along the river banks. [2007 - 2008]

As a result of the artistic examination of the topic, the 'Unplugger' was created – an efficient device to prevent most communication and social interaction.
