The gazebo at the Stadtpark in Krems was the centre and starting point of the project 'Gazebo Extensions'. The vacant building was equipped with basic interior features by a construction team under the supervision of the artist. In the course of the donaufestival, it was gradually enlarged and took on more functional and aesthetic elements, and also extended into the surrounding park.
 
'Gazebo Extensions' broached the issue of the building- and extension-process of a usable sculpture as a performative act. Work on the 'basic equipment' of the pavilion commenced six days before the opening of the donaufestival 08. In order to not reveal this structure to the public right from the start, the building was covered with an aluminium foil. In the course of the donaufestival, work on the interior equipment continued. The entire room situation was subject to constant change. Step by step, also the cover of the object was removed, making the 'naked' construction in the pavilion visible during the last few days.
