Arsenale Voltaire took place in two locations and in two phases. Rainer Prohaska created a temporary shipyard at Haus der Kunst St. Josef. As part of the installation a floating sculpture will be built using his POOL* method and large-scale blueprints will document the construction process on site.
In the second phase, the floating sculpture, a creative, peaceful interpretation of a Roman galley, was transported and launched into the River Aare. Visitors were invited to interact with the object and could even participate in guided cruises
as rowers.
