Commissioned work
At the invitation of the MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art, Rainer Prohaska transformed via performative installation the collaborative cooking space to a sound studio and communication point.
Microphones were attached to the cooking utensils and electronically amplified. The interplay of the preparation processes created a soundscape. Through the medial translation of the cooking process into sound, the active participants joined together to form an orchestra.
